Since I had not posted since I had my 3rd child, I am making a post today and hopefully everyday! A LOT has happened since my last post. Had my baby who is now 18 month. My boyfriend got custody of his 2 daughters due to the loss of their mother. I have been going to church, we moved, and we still have clutter issues.
So we went from a 5 person family to a 7 person family. Organizing things still has yet to happen. But everyday I think about making this blog about organizing. And I mean organizing everything from meals, shopping trips, bedtimes, school things, clothes, and the list goes on and on and on!
Let's be honest here shall we? If you are reading this, then you are not organized either. Right? If i am organized I wouldn't be looking up anything to do with it unless it was containers to use! Change will not happen on its own. Your clothes don't magically fall onto your body so you are dressed, food just doesn't cook on its own. Like everything in life, you need to work at it to get it done. We cannot telepathically make things happen! We can not be like Samantha on bewitched and wiggle our nose and things go away! It's 2014 and life is moving faster than we can. We tire our selves out by trying to keep up with life. Let's slow down and focus on the important things in life! These things are our family, our health, our sanity, and our home. Because without those, what do we have? Not much! So starting Monday 10/ 27/14 I will make a post about organizing something in the home. Not sure yet but it will be a room or a certain area such as a command center!
Let's get organized to keep sane!
Crazy but simple life

my crawling baby
My littlest son is now 7 1/2 months and learned to crawl on super-bowl sunday! Yay! Meanwhile, because he is on the move, I have to keep the floor cleaned up of anything he can choke on. and believe me he has 20/20 eyesight. he sees a piece of paper 1/4 inch big 10 feet away from him and hes crawling as fast as he can to get to it! finding containers that look cute and stylish and being baby proof and inexpensive, impossiable to find. Totes work good for the most part but they don't look cute. I have purchased a shoe organizer that hangs on our closet door which allows me to keep the shoes up off the floor! My next project is finding cute big containers to keep his toys in and things off the floor.

a simple way of budgeting
I have seen a lot of other bloggers posting about ways to budget money and to save money. Envelopes. That is my new way of saving money and budgeting it as well. When you make an envelope labled "household items" this could range from anything you consider to be household items. Estimate as close as you can to how much you would actualy spend on that section. Say $50. so stick $50 worth of bills in there to cover the expense, also stick in the coupons you plan on using. any change you recieve from that transaction, put back into the envelope for an emergancy. So write down everything you buy, how much you plan on spending, make an envelope, when you get the money put it in there and take them where ever you go. Do not borrow money from other envelopes. this will cause a big mess because you will end up short somewhere else. make an envelope just for the use of incase you go over from a different envelope. put aside some money for sale items as well. say about $40 give or take a few. This will allow you to control your splurge spending too. We as americans are used to impulse buying. but if you don't have the money do not get it. All of your envelopes should first be everything you need. Then the money left over is what you can spend on the little things you want.
Buy everything you need for the month at one time if you can. I only get paid once a month as does my boyfriend. So its easier for us to run out of money at the end of the month. Because of this when we run out of something at the end of the month we are looking for a way to get it because we dont have the money. So starting next month (february) I am doing the envelopes. and buying everything I need when I get my paycheck.
Clearance. Anyone with a low income or budget should shop first in this section. Sometimes the box of diapers is ripped, so its marked down a couple bucks, thats a couple bucks you can spend on wipes or another box of diapers. I love shopping the clearnace section because you can find something in there that you can use a coupin with too, making it even more cheaper, saving you even more money!
I like the 1 thing in 1 thing out rule. If I didn't donate anything my house would look like a hoarders, but i am not a hoarder. I do not dress up alot. okay, maybe once or twice a year do i ever dress up. So when thinning out my clothes, again, i will only leave 2-3 shirts that are dressy and 2 dress pants. That way i am not hanging onto something someone else can use. Why have it when you don't need it, when someone else can have it?
Next blog post will be about my plans on how i want to organize each room!!!!!

about me
My name is Samantha and i am a young mom of soon to be 3 boys. I have a 3 year old, currently 7 month old, and due with my last baby on May 2nd. I am not the typical mom, girlfriend, or person. I am 23 and will be 24 before my son gets here. I live with my boyfriend in a small town in michigan. Sounds typical right? Well its not. My boyfriend whom i love with all my heart and soul, is disbaled. He was born this way and let me know before I seen him for the 1st time in person. I am a believer that anyone can love and be loved. Yes we fight, usually over the stupid PS3, but we get along! He is also older than me.
I am the one that has to cook, clean, shop, and take care of the kids. So as you can guess I am busy. Doctor appointments, diaper changing, etc, its not easy. But honestly if anything happend to where it changed alot i dont know what I would do. We also live in a small 2 bedroom apartment. Sigh. This is hard because when a person is in a wheelchair you have limited choices on what furniture you can have and where to put it. So i am creating this blog as I take a journey on learning how to make the most of our small apartment. I hope I can pass on some useful tips to everyone that needs helps staying organized and sane in a small place!
